Navies of Sri Lanka, India and Maldives conduct maritime drills
The navies of India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka have conducted a two-day maiden exercise known as Colombo Security Conclave Focused Operation. The exercise, held on 27 and 28 November, was aimed at enhancing maritime security cooperation and promote peace in the Indian Ocean Region. It also focused on improving mutual operational capability and exercise interoperability.

Rheinmetall completes trials of composite rubber track on Lynx KF41 infantry fighting vehicle
Rheinmetall has completed testing of Soucy composite rubber tracks (CRT) on the Lynx KF41 infantry fighting vehicle. The trials showcased that the IFV could use both steel and composite rubber tracks. Rheinmetall managing director Gary Stewart said that the latest demonstrations confirm flexible configurations of the vehicle. During the demonstration trials, the vehicle was reconfigured from its base steel track system to the CRT.

USAF contracts Tomorrow.io for spaceborne weather data
The US Air Force has awarded a contract to meteorological intelligence company Tomorrow.io to provide 3D global weather and ocean data. The $19.3m contract will see the company support a constellation of high-tech weather satellites, which can observe precipitation and storm structures from space. The spaceborne weather data will be provided to the Hanscom Air Force Base-headquartered Aerospace Management Systems Division.
