The UK MOD has approved funding for the mechanised infantry vehicle programme to deliver around 500 Boxer armoured vehicles and form a core part of the Army’s future armoured capability. As the UK defence contractor WFEL opens its Boxer production line in Stockport, we talk to the company about what it takes to build an armoured vehicle.

In March, France carried out its first space-based military exercise named AsterX as a tribute to everyone’s favourite cartoon Gaul. As armed forces increasingly address the space domain, we take a closer look at what is involved in conducting military simulations in the space domain.

Submarines are arguably some of the most complex naval vessels to operate and when accidents happen the dangers are more acute than any other platform. We learn about the safety systems in place and look at the simulators that prepare sailors for the worst of all eventualities.
