Liebherr military cranes

Armoured cranes for worldwide military use

Armoured military cranes are designed fully to meet military requirements. And the main priority is to protect those inside. For this reason, Liebherr military cranes have particularly well armoured drivers’ cabs and crane cabs developed in collaboration with the Rheinmetall Group.

Like Liebherr mobile cranes, the military cranes are built on an all-terrain chassis, making them ideal both for off-road use and for driving on public roads.

The powerful telescopic booms can hoist loads of any type quickly and easily. Liebherr can supply the armoured recovery crane, known as the G-BKF especially for recovering and towing damaged vehicles. It is a versatile vehicle and an absolute all-rounder for recovering, towing and hoisting of any type of vehicle.

In addition to the G-BKF, the G-LTM 1090-4.2 armoured mobile crane rounds off the range of special vehicles for military purposes. Both vehicle types are already workhorses in the German army, but also have been delivered to several other countries and are a trustworthy machine for many operations around the world.

Being the market leader in all terrain cranes, Liebherr supplies thousands of cranes every year for different applications. Relying on the own, worldwide service network, fast spare part supply and a hands-on mentality, Liebherr is the right partner for any lifting application, no matter if on- or offshore, in hot or cold areas or under harshest conditions.
