Military-standard tow-bars for armed forces
DPSG's USA Inc. innovative Wunderbar™ tow-bars and tow strap systems boost military and security missions, by enabling a greater level of reliance to personnel and vehicles.
Using the unique tow-bar system makes it quicker and easier to recover a vehicle that has broken down or been damaged in the field. Additionally, the system has a large vehicle ‘hook up’ zone of 50in x 57in.
Strong, lightweight tow-bars and tow-straps
Wunderbar™ is half the weight and twice the strength of standard tow-bars, while being 50 times faster to deploy, on average, and entirely maintenance-free.
The tow-bar is lightweight and has manageable components that enable it to be deployed in seconds, saving time and lowering the risk of equipment damage, or injury during critical operations.
For in-the-field work, it is essential to carry vital equipment that is light and performs every time. To meet these specific needs, DPSG USA Inc. tow-bars and tow straps offer:

Tank and combat vehicle tow-bar
The Wunderbar™ is available for gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWR) of 15,000, 20,000, 40,000, 80,000 and 150,000.
The smallest is the ultra-lightweight tow-bar weighing 10kg, which is appropriate for 3,200kg GVWR vehicles, such as all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and Jeeps. The next level up is the Tank Wunderbar™, which is rated for compliance with the heaviest tanks at 82,000kg GVWR. Each bar weighs less than 136kg.
For added functionality, DPSG USA Inc. offers a selection of Wunderbar™ tow straps and synthetic safety chains, as well as a variety of towing and recovery equipments. DPSG USA Inc. forged adaptors are available through the Army Resupply System (SARSS).
Articulating vehicle tow-bar
DPSG’s USA Inc. easy-to-handle Wunderbar™ has been successfully used worldwide, including by US Army Special Forces in Afghanistan. The fully articulating parts have a patented design that guarantees fast assembly and breakdown.
For safety and security, it can be stowed on the bumper mount in front of the vehicle’s grille without obscuring the driver’s line-of-sight, and it is rated street legal on US roads.
Wunderbar is offered in a choice of colours and finishes, such as CARC, CARC-equivalent and non-painted hard coat. DPSG USA Inc. supplies the systems in a heavy-duty rolling carry bag with clear instructions for assembly, safety and ongoing care. Training is also available.
